We stopped in here on the way driving north because we were in the Mood for Thai food. Not being from the area thought we would try our luck and were very happy with our lunch experience. Dining with a 2 year old can be stressful but the welsh man that is the owner and server was extremely nice and very responsive to anything and everything we needed. The curry puffs were a delicious appetizer and the soup was surprisingly good. Our entrees were excellent. If we are ever on the same route we look forward to coming back.

This is the best Thai food around. Every time we come it gets better. The owners are so friendly, the restaurant is clean, and great food. What else can you ask for? This is our new favorite restaurant.. Definitely don't miss out. Come in. You will love it!

Met the owner, a very nice gentleman, the place was spotlessly clean and nicely appointed. Ordered Thai rolls, Spring rolls, and the Garlic/Black Pepper vegetables with beef for take out. Food prep was about 15 minutes, and everything was very good and freshly prepared. Both the spring and Thai rolls appeared to have been made fresh, not the frozen variety so many places use these days. I thought the prices were fair considering the freshness and the quality of the food. I definitely plan on returning to enjoy eating there at the restaurant.

Picked up takeout. Staff was nice. Fast cooking, but food was mediocre. Lacking strong flavours, rice a little overcooked, Thai iced tea was overly sweet and served with whipped cream, odd for Thai iced tea. It was disappointing and I found much better authentic Thai food at Orchid Thai.

I came in for lunch after checking my ipad for all the local places to eat that were near me. The restaurant was very clean, however the decor was very 1970's. The place could use some updating and redecorating (including the paintings on the wall). The gentlemen who was at the register was very friendly and helpful (and the only person on the floor. There were no servers anywhere. There were also no customers). He made good suggestions and knew a lot about their menu. I liked him. I ordered a lunch portion of Red Curry and added some of their spicy sauces to it. It was pretty good actually. The cost was $6.50. The portion was a bit pitiful. I was still a bit hungry afterwards. The appetizer that was advertised to come with the meal was a single Curry "Puff" ( basically 1 Crab Ragoon with curry in it). The container that held the Redu Curry was only 1/3 full. The other small container had about two small scoops of rice. I am serious. I wish I had taken a photo. After I saw it, I asked the guy how much was their regular "Full portion" and he said like $8.25. So if you go get the full order and maybe you'll get 2/3 of a container.

The listing on the site is incorrect. Thai delight is open 7 days a week, 11 am to 9 p.m. weekdays, and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

I honestly DO NOT understand why this place isn't always packed. The food is wonderful every time we go. I've always gone with at least 3 other people and everyone is consistently happy with their meals. You MUST try the coconut soup. Oh the flavor is to DIE for. It isn't anything I could ever describe but you need to take my word for it and try it. I can't help but always get the Amazing Eggplant and yes that really IS the name of it and yes it really IS amazing. It has the typical peanut sauce that all Thai restaurants serve and theirs is exceptionally yummy. The eggplant is sliced fairly thick and is slightly crispy on the outside and soft and very tasty on the inside. The prices here are quite reasonable. The owners are husband and wife and they run the place by themselves and do an excellent job are very friendly and very much appreciate their customers. I believe he is Welsh but she is from Thailand and oh does she EVER know how to cook Thai food. The restaurant and rest rooms are impeccably clean as well. Thai Delight is simple in decor, doesn't even try to be ethnically authentic but pleasantly decorated in a little strip mall across from the USA Flea Market on US 19 in Port Richey.

I am here on work travel, and in 4 days I've been here 3 times! I stopped in on a whim the first night and the food is out of this world. The owner recognized me my second time in and has been nothing but kind and gracious consistently every time I have gone in. I am very satisfied and would suggest this place to anyone. Too bad it's not close to home!!

I love Thai...but this was just..MEH..We stopped in on a Friday evening about 8 and it was busy but not "crowded". They service was ridiculously slow. It was 15 minutes before i got a cup of tea. The calamari was good, as was the dipping sauce. I ordered my pad thai "medium hot", as I always have in every other Thai joint from NY to FL. It was bland and unimpressive. I also feel that the portions were on the small side for the price. I might stop in for lunch, but I wouldn't bother for dinner. There are better choices in the area.
